閱讀繪本成為一種生命流動的出口，也為快速的時代提供緩衝，向上的心靈療癒。隱約覺得透過網路流通的媒合會產生新的繪本形式，例如部落格訊息的交互渲染。後來接觸cc授權，強調透過分享可使文化累積、延續，衍生更貼近社會脈絡的形式，資訊的可互通性（interoperability），或許，網際網路對人們來說最重要的意義，就是成為一種平台，讓人類的經驗和資訊可以在上面互通。註2

 

  

這次個展延續繪畫，文字，書寫結合繪本的形式，製作一本未完成的繪本。並和ccGarden合作授權（creative ecommons）為cc產品，將圖文著作權部份釋出嘗試創作衍生的可能。

當畫筆變成滑鼠和鍵盤 

  

隨著電腦和科技的普及，新的媒體和應用形式也成為了當代藝術常見的表現手法，而藝術數位化衍生出許多如互動性、虛擬實境科技技術層面的問題，需結合不同領域共同創作，使得以往藝術家所強調的個人風格逐漸被消解，創作者如何不迷失在探索無窮的數位技術和商業合作的誘惑，同時能堅持自己的創作脈絡，變成了一個新的課題。

 

2007郭慧禪個展主題以自我探索為中心，媒材由錄像、影像合成到3D動畫，以傳統的繪畫構成結合數位媒材的實踐。現場除進行個人自1998以來的一個小型文件回顧，並透過CC創用機制的觀看方式，以釋放著作權的圖像創作衍生跨領域的應用，嘗試跨界的結合，共同創作與推廣宣傳。展出2006-2007的3D動畫新作－方塊人(CubeMan)、泡泡人，以幾何的形象象徵內在的世界，生命彷彿走在一個找不到出口的迷宮中，個體隨著際遇逐漸完整完善，但又迷失在快速消費潮流中，陷入了隨時會落伍的恐懼和焦慮裡，在黑暗中找尋光線的方向，希望藉由回歸到最平凡人性需求，穿越過度膨脹的慾望與自我迷思，重新探索真實的存在。

Adaptable Works

skin.  The dead goat has left behind its body to bring

sound to life.☆

 

To study art has been an escape from the fast paced

movement of modern life and therapy for a spiritual

mind.  The circulation of thought through a network

(e.g. a Blog) can produce new art forms. By

contacting CC (Creative Commons) for copyright

status, it enables us to create a culture of

cumulative knowledge and, as a result, form a social

network of interoperability.  Perhaps what makes the

Internet the most significant to mankind is that it

is a platform for the exchange of human experience

This exhibition’s sketches, writing, and

calligraphy combined into an art form comprise an

adaptable portfolio.  Without the cooperation of

ccgarden and cc products, the release of copyrighted

portfolios would not be possible.

When Paint Brush Becomes Mouse and Keyboard

  

Due to the advancement of computer technology, new

forms of media applications have become common means

of artistic expression. The creation of digital art

demands a high level of specialization because the

artist must combine different domains in the same

work in order to gradually achieve his/her

individual style.  The creator can then explore

his/her own limitless potential with the cooperation

of digital commercial technology while

simultaneously beating his/her own path in order to

achieve a new innovation.

 

 

 The 2007 Hui-Chan Kuo Solo Exhibition conveys the

central theme of self-exploration by employing

digital techniques to combine three mediums: video

recording materials, phantom 3D animation synthesis,

and traditional art. The exhibit portfolio, in

progress  since 1998, includes remixable copyrighted

images and has grown in publicity through the CC

organization’s promotion and advertising. In the

recent 2006-2007 3D animated work, Cube Man and

Bubble Man, the geometric shapes symbolize her

sensation of information overload and eternal

confusion, frightened and anxious  that she will

fall lag behind at any time, as if she is walking in

a maze that has no exit. She is searching for light

in the darkness, hoping to return to the demands of

human nature. After journeying on a difficult path,

she achieves self-knowledge by exploring the reality

of existence.
